Ingredients: 5 lbs. pork ribs 1 T black pepper 2 t kosher salt 2 t chili powder 1 t sugar 1 t onion powder 1 t parsley 1 t oregano
Sweet and sour barbecue sauce
1 cup dry red wine 1 cup pineapple juice 1/2 c honey 1/2 c vinegar 1/2 c soy sauce 1/4 c yellow mustard 2 T bourbon 1 t bottle hot pepper sauce

Directions:Sweet and Sour Barbecue Sauce- In a medium bowl combine all the sauce ingredients and then pour over the ribs just before placing them in the oven.
Preparing the ribs for the oven- Put all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well to make a rub. Sprinkle it evenly over the ribs and rub onto the meat.
Place the ribs bone side down in a roasting pan. Pour the barbecue sauce over the top of the ribs and cover with a lid or tin foil. Place the ribs in a 350º oven for about 2 hours or until they are tender.
After removing the ribs from the oven place them on a hot grill long enough to caramalize the sauce. Serve immediately. |
