COMBINE IN A 2 QUART SAUCEPAN:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour

STIR IN UNTIL SMOOTH WITH A WIRE WISK:
1 c. milk

COOK AND STIR OVER MEDIUM-HIGH HEAT, STIRRING CONSTANTLY UNTIL MIXTURE THICKENS AND BOILS. REDUCE HEAT TO LOW AND COOK 2 MIN. COOL, PUT IN BOWL, LABEL, COVER, & REFRIGERATE.

Day 2
BEAT IN MIXER UNTIL CREAMY:
1 c. margarine soft

GRADUALLY BEAT IN FLOUR MIXTURE FROM BEFORE.

WHEN SMOOTH ADD 1 TEASPOON VANILLA.
