4 cups fresh strawberries 1 cup water 1 cup sugar 3 T corn starch red food coloring 1/2 pint whipping cream 2 T sugar
Simmer 1 cup fresh strawberries in 2/3 cup water for 3 minutes. Mix 1 cup sugar with cornstarch. Add 1/3 cup water and mix till smooth. Add to simmering strawberries and boil. Stir until thick and clear. Add color. Cool. Place 3 cups fresh strawberries in pie shell and cover with cool glaze. Chill until firm and add whip cream.
