3/4 lb Italian Sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
2-15oz cans tomato sauce
2 tsp dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp salt
1-15 oz part-skim ricotta cheese
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
12 uncooked lasagna noodles

Cook sausage and onion until sausage is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato sauce basil and salt and set a side.
In separate bowl mix ricotta, Parmesan cheese and 2/3 of mozzarella cheese (set a side the other third to add just before serving).
Spoon 1/4 of sausage mixture into crockets. top with 1/3 of noodles (broken into pieces). Top with 1/2 cheese mixture. and a quarter of the sausage mixture. top with 1/3 noodles, remaining cheese mixture and quarter of sausage mixture. top with remaining noodles and remaining sausage mixture.
Cover and cook on low heat setting 6-8 hours. .10 minutes before finish cooking sprinkle with remaining mozzarella, cover and let stand about 10 minutes until cheese melts.
