6-8 yellow squash
1/2 c. bacon drippings
1 large onion sliced
1 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Wash squash and slice. Put in a large boiler wit 2 tsp. salt. Cover with water and boil until squash is almost tender. Drain well. Heat bacon drippings in a large skillet and cook onions until tender; add squash. Cook over medium high heat, turning often, until squash is light brown.
