1 cup peanut butter
3 cups oats
2 cups sugar
2 Tbsp. or 1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine together cook exactly three minutes after it begins to boil. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and oats stir until combined, drop by teaspoon on wax paper.

This was a quick, inexpensive candy-cookie that mother made lots of times when we were growing up. It was a good one to take to school for parties or bake sales.
