3 or 4 Golden Delicious apples
2 c. dried candied fruit
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
1/4 t. all spice
3/4 t. nutmeg
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour, divided
1 t. Baking Powder
3/4 t. salt
1/4 t. soda
3/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and chop apples to measure 3 cups. Add to chopped fruit and nuts. Sprinkle 1/2 c. four. Mix well. Sift remaining flour, B Powder, salt, soda, and spices. Cream shortening and sugars well, add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients. Beat till smooth. Stir in fruit mixture.

Bake 300 2-2 1/2 hours. Cool in pan
