8 cans beets w/juice (Food Lion)
2 cups sugar
2 cups apple cider vinegar
2 cups water
teaspoon crushed red pepper each jar)
5 - 6 whole cloves optional)
Heat jars & lids (4 pint jars)

Directions:
Directions:
The food Lion brand of beets seem to be consistently small in size. Heat the beets in the liquid. Place drained beets in the jars. You can pack them a little tight. Pour the hot liquid over beets. Cap with hot seals.
