1 cup Crisco shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Combine flour, cream of tartar, salt and soda. Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in vanilla.
Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Combine remaining sugar with cinnamon, mix well. Roll each ball in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place on a greased cookie sheet; flatten slightly. Bake at 400º for 8 minutes or until cookies fall. Better if slightly under cooked.
