1 1/2 c. rhubarb, chopped fine
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Mix in egg and salt. Stir in milk, baking soda, vanilla and flour. Add rhubarb. Pour into an oblong pan. Sprinkle mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon on top. Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes.
