Easy Lasagna Recipe

1 8-oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
1/4 tsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
2 tsp. garlic, minced
1 15.5-oz. jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 c. cottage cheese
1 c. ricotta cheese
1 egg, beaten
6 oz. mozzarella cheese slices (optional)

Cook noodles according to package directions, adding a little olive oil and salt to water. Drain and set aside. Saute ground beef and garlic until beef has browned. Add spaghetti sauce and spices, simmer for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix cottage cheese, ricotta and beaten egg. In a greased 9" x 13' baking dish, make layers starting with noodles, then cheese mixture, mozzarella slices (optional) and meat sauce. Repeat layers, top layer should be meat sauce. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 30 minutes. Note: If using fresh oregano and basil, chop finely and increase amounts to one tablespoon of each.
