1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup cocoa
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Topping:
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 5 ingredients. Add melted butter, milk and vanilla to dry ingredients. Add nuts, if desired. Stir just enough to distribute. Turn into well greased 8 inch round baking dish at least 3/4 inches deep.
Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over the top. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Can be topped with ice cream or whipped topping.
