1/3 C plus 2 T flour dash salt 1 C milk 1/2 C shortening 1/2 C butter or margarine softened 1 1/4 C granulated sugar 1 tsp vanilla
Combine flour and salt in 2 quart saucepan. Gradually stir in milk until well blended. cook over medium heat until thickened stirring constantly. Cool Bet together shortening and margarine in large bowl until creamy. Add sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla. Add cooled flour mixture; beat until smooth.
