4 lb beef for pot roast
2 cloves garlic
2 T. vegetable oil
1 medium onion chopped
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried basil
dash cinnamon
1 (12 oz) can tomato paste
4 c. water
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 lb. spaghetti

rub meat with 1 cut garlic clove; brown on all sides in oil in large heavy kettle. Remove meat, add other garlic glove, minced and next 5 ingredients. Cook gently, stirring frequently about 5 minutes being careful not to burn. Put meat back in kettle. Mix tomatoes paste with water, salt and pepper, and pour over meat. bring to boil, cover and simmer; turning several limes, 3 hours or until meat is fork tender and sauce thickens. When done, cook spaghetti. Drain and mix the sauce. Put spaghetti on large platter and arrange sliced meat on one side. Pour some of sauce over spaghetti and meat and sprinkle with cheese.
