3 lbs lean ground beef
1 qt. water
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. red pepper
1 tsp. black pepper
1 T. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
6 T. Chile powder
10 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tsp. marjoram
3 T. paprika

Directions:
Directions:
When oil is hot in 6 quart pot, add the meat and sear over high heat, stirring constantly until meat is gray not brown. Add 1 quart water and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours Add all other ingredients except flour and cornmeal and simmer another 30 minutes. Skim off fat before adding thickeners.
