3 qts water
1 qt vinegar
1 C canning Salt
hot pepper pods
dill
small pieces onion
garlic
cucumbers

Directions:
Directions:
Heat to boiling: water, vinegar and canning salt,

Put in jars: 1 pod ofhot pepper, sprig of dill, a few small onioin pieces, 1 bud of garlic and cucumbers.

Fill jars with hot vinegar mixture and seal with hot lids. (1/2 recipe make 4 qt. jars.)

Grandmom Fain was known for her hot pickles among other dishes! She was a good country cook!! I still miss her meals, especially her turnip greens!!
