3/4 c sugar
1/3 c vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 c milk
1 1/2 c sifted regular flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

1/2 c light brown sugar
2 T flour
2 tsp cinnamon
2 T butter
1/2 c finely chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 Grease 9" square cake pan

Combine sugar, oil and egg. Add milk and beat thoroughly. Stir in dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with topping.
Bake for 30-35 minutes.

I am pretty sure that Grandma doubles the topping. Her coffeecake was loaded with topping and it was the best part.
