"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

For the Cake:
preheat oven to 350 F. Butter a 10-inch (25 cm) Bundt pan.

Using an electric mixer, add all ingredients and mix till smooth (about 2 minutes.) Pour into the prepared pan. Bake one hour, or until a cake tester inserted in the centre comes out clean. Leave the cake in the pan on a rack. The cake will fall some as it cools, this is ok it simply means the cake well be nice and moist. Serve cake on its own or with some fresh berries and whipped cream laced with more Grand Marnier.
