3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
3 c. blueberries (fresh, frozen, or canned and drained)
1 T. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream shortening and 1 1/2 c. sugar. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually beat in 1/2 c. sugar. Fold into batter. Combine blueberries with 1 T. flour. Fold into batter.

Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350F for 50 minutes or until done.

Good sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with ice cream.
