16-24 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 cups (1 32-oz. bag) powdered sugar
1 large round can pumpkin
1 teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar a cup at a time and beat until blended. Empty pumpkin onto paper towels to absorb excess moisture. Add to cream cheese mixture. Add seasonings. Chill. Serve with gingersnap cookies.

Grandmother Joy served as hors d'oeuvres on Thanksgiving Day! For a richer, thicker dip, use 24 ounces of cream cheese.
