1 C butter
1 C water
2 C flour
2 C sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 C sour cream
1 t almond extract
1 t salt
1 t baking soda



Frosting:
1/2 C butter
1/4 C milk
4 1/2 C confectioners sugar
1/2 t almond extract
1 C chopped nuts

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Bring water to boil. Remove from heat and add to mixing bowl along with sugar, flour, eggs, sour cream, almond extract, salt and soda. Mix well, until smooth (can use mixer). Pour into greased jelly roll pan (15x10x1) that has been sprayed with Pam. Bake at 375º for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden and center is done (test with toothpick), Cool for 20 minutes. Meanwhile make frosting.
Frosting: Bring milk to a boil on stove. Remove and add powdered sugar, almond extract and nuts. Spread evenly over warm cake. It spreads easily while it's warm. Let cool. Keep refrigerated.
