Ingredients: For Shell: 3 c. flour 2 tbsp. sugar 2 c. Crisco 2 egg yolks 1 c. water
Cream Filling: 1 c. milk 5 tbsp. flour 1 c. Crisco 2 c. brown sugar 1/2 large pack marshmallow cream 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:Shells: Sift together flour and sugar; cut in 1/2 cup of Crisco. Beat egg yolks and water until foamy. Knead egg yolk mixture into Crisco mixture like you are making pie dough. Knead until smooth. Refrigerate one hour. Roll out dough and spread 1/2 cup Crisco, fold into a small package. Refrigerate one hour. Repeat spreading of 1/2 cup of Crisco two more times and refrigerate for one hour after each application.
Using 1/4 of dough, roll out until not too thick and not paper thin. Cut strips 1" by 4" long. Wrap dough on clothespins covered with foil, overlapping.
Bake 350º until light tan, about 15 minutes. Cool two minutes, take off pin. Fill and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Cream Filling: In saucepan, cook milk and 5 tbsp. flour until thick, cool. Cream 1 cup Crisco and 2 cups of powdered sugar. To Crisco mixture add marshmallow cream and vanilla. Add cooled milk mixture. Mix until smooth. |
