1 lb. light brown sugar
2/3 c. salad oil
3 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 - 1 tsp. salt
1 - 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. cut up nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Beat together brown sugar & oil. Add eggs, one at a time & beat until fluffy. Sift together the flour, baking powder & salt and add to egg mixture. Mix in the chocolate chips & nuts. Bake in 350º oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top and around edges. Be careful not to overcook. Cut while warm.

My family (Chasses) have always called these Congo Bars. My husband's family (Holmans) call them Bongo Bars. Either way, they are easy to make and a big hit!
