1 Garlic Clove cut in Half
1 can Stale Beer
1 lb Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 loaf French Brea, cubed

Directions:
Directions:
Rub Fondue pot with Garlic halves. Mix cornstarch into shredded cheese. Heat beer and cheese in Fondue pot. Heat and stir until melted and smooth. Serve fondue with bread cubes.
[ if desired, 2 tsp of chili powder may be added to cheese mix, and ½ cup of diced green chilis may be stirred into fondue after the cheese has melted]

I use Tex-Mex shredded cheese mix and usually halve this recipe when served with oil fondue as well.
