1 c. butter,
1/2 c. whipping cream - not whipped,
2 c. flour,

Filling;

1/2 c. butter,
2 c. powdered sugar,
1 egg yolk,
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sift flour. Add flour to butter alternately with cream. Chill dough. Roll out 1/3 of dough on board 1/8 in. thick. Cut with a jigger. Lift with spatula to a bowl of sugar. Roll cookies in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick times with fork. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Cool.

Mix frosting ingredients. Put small amount of frosting on 1 cookie and place a 2nd cookie on top go make a sandwich.

These freeze very well. Pink frosting with the "winter white" cookies make great Christmas time treats.
