5 lb. potatoes
1 lb. bacon diced
2 large onions, chopped
3/4 Cup vinegar
3/4 Cup water
1 Cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes in jackets until tender. Peel and slice. Fry bacon until crisp and then drain. In two tablespoons bacon drippings, saute onions until golden. Add onion and bacon to potatoes.
In same skillet, heat to boiling the vinegar, water and sugar. Pour over potatoes; add salt and pepper to taste; mix well. Put in baking dish and cover. Bake one hour at 350º. Stir occasionally. Serve hot.
