2 lb stew beef, cut into bite size pieces
5 carrots, cut into pieces
5 potatoes, cut into pieces
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
3 Tbsp. tapioca (minute)
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 c tomato juice
1 c. water

Place all ingredient in a covered roaster pan and cover Bake at 275 degrees for 4 hours.
Can also be put in a slow cooker on low and cook all day. Do not remove cover of slow cooker until done. It takes your slow cooker 20 minutes to get back to the cooking temperature
Served many times at large family gatherings, have to double to triple recipe for out large family.
Serve a salad and bread, you are set, great for a working girl dinner.
