½ cup Crisco ½ cup Sugar 1 ½ cups boiling water 5-6 cups flour 1 t salt 2 packages dry yeast ½ cup lukewarm water
Pour ½ cup lukewarm water over the yeast and stir until dissolved Pour ½ cup boiling water over Crisco, sugar, and salt Stir until melted and cooled to lukewarm Mix in yeast mixture and flour Put in bowl and rub with butter
