Ingredients: 16 oz elbow macaroni or preferred pasta 3 tbsp butter 1/4 c flour 2 c 2% milk 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp paprika 1 tsp powdered garlic 4 oz of cold cream cheese cubed 4 oz medium cheddar cheese shredded 4 oz Monterey Jack shredded 4 oz Swiss cheese shredded 4 oz cottage cheese 2 tbsp finely minced onions 3 tbsp chopped cilantro 12 to 16 oz fresh lump crab 2 pieces of buttered bread, cubed into very small pieces.

Directions:Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, Drain and set aside. Melt butter over medium heat add onions.Add flour until flour is cooked (It will smell nutty) add garlic. Whisk in milk, whisk until thickened, add cheeses, except cream cheese add large can of mushrooms or fresh sautéed mushrooms. Add pasta pour into buttered 9 x 13 pan. Cube cream cheese into small pieces and gently mix into pasta. Gently fold in the crab. Cover with buttered bread cubes Bake for 25 to 20 minutes. Cut into squares and serve with Sherry mushroom sauce. |
