1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup shortening ( butter, margarine or Crisco)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and granulated sugar. Cut in the shortening with a knife or pastry blender. Add beaten egg and enough milk to form a soft dough. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch, forming a rectangle about 8 inches by 12 inches. Spread the dough with softened butter and sprinkle with brown sugar, chopped nuts, raisins and cinnamon. Roll up from the long side like a jelly roll, and pinch the dough along the edge to seal. With a sharp knife cut the roll into 12 equal slices. Place cut side down on cookie sheet sprayed with PAM. Bake at 400º for about 20 minutes, or until the buns are beginning to brown. Remove from pan immediately, and cool on a wire rack. Frost with a glaze made of confectioner’s sugar, milk and a few drops of vanilla. Makes 12 cinnamon buns.
