1 gal. whole milk
5-6 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. vanilla extract
dash of salt
spiced rum (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Warm milk in a large heavy saucepan. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Beat until frothy. Add egg mixture to milk, stirring constantly until just below the scalding temperature (do not boil). Serve warm. Spike with spiced rum if desired.
