3 lbs fresh tart apples peeled and thinly sliced 1/2 cup sugar 4 tsp cinnamon 4 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup orange juice 3 cups flour 3 tsp baking powder dash salt butter
Toss apples 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon toghter and put aside. Beat the eggs , 2 cups on sugae and oil toghther until creamy and smooth. Add the remaining ingrediants alternating the flour, salt, and baking powder with orange juice and ending with the vanilla. Pour in 1/2 the batter in a well greased bundt or tube pan. Place half of the apples on the batter. Then add the remaining batter and then the second half of the apples. Dot the top with butter.Bake 1 hour and 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and remove from panso the apple slices are on the top of the cake
