5 cans French style green beans
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
16 oz. sour cream
1/4 c. sugar
3 T. flour
4 T. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion



Topping on casserole:
1 c. crushed corn flakes
1/2 c. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in pan. Saute onion in butter for 3-5 minutes. Add flour to sautéed onions to make roux. In large bowl mix drained green beans, sour cream, shredded cheese, sugar, roux mixture, salt and pepper to taste. Place in casserole dish. Mix corn flake crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over top of green bean casserole. Bake uncovered at 350º for 45-50 minutes.
