Ingredients:  
3 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
2 well beaten eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together in order given. Mixture will be stiff. Roll into small balls, place on cookie sheet; flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 400º for 10-15 minutes til lightly browned.
