1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup coconut (opt)
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups rice krispies
1 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Cream margarine and sugars. Beat in eggs, vanilla and salt. Add flour, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in oatmeal, rice krispies, coconut and chocolate chips. (Milk chocolate chips tastes good as well.) Drop by teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. These are a favorite in our house. They freeze well and are great to pack in lunches.
