Ingredients:

1-19 oz can chick peas, drained

3 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 Tbsp water or chick pea liquid
1 tsp cumin

Directions:
In food processor or blender, mince garlic. Add chick peas, tahini, lemon juice, oil, water, cumin and salt; process until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Transfer to serving bowl. Serve with warm pita bread for dipping. Tip: if you are out of tahini, peanut butter makes a good substitute. Serve with pita chips, made by cutting pita bread into small triangles, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with paprika, garlic powder and seasoning salt and toast by broiling for 1 minute until brown and slightly crisp.
