1 package yeast
6 cups flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons fennel seeds
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cups water (1 1/2 cups if you use a bread machine)
1 gallon water

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix dry ingredients, add yeast and 2 cups water.

Number of Servings: About 80

Knead for 6 to 8 minutes. Cover dough and let rest for 30 minutes. Roll into shapes 1/2 inch in diameter and 4 inches long.

Bring one gallon of water to boil.

Drop 7 or 8 strips at a time into boiling water for one minute or until they float.

Remove and place on oven racks to cool. Place rack in preheated oven at 350║ F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
