1/2 cup Lily white syrup
1/3 cup evaporated milk
2 pkgs chocolate squares, semisweet
3/4 cup icing sugar, sifted
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Line 8 inch square pan with plastic wrap. In sauce pan, stir together corn syrup and milk. Add chocolate squares. Melt over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and vanilla. With wooden spoon stir vigorously until thick and glossy. Stir in nuts. Spread in pan. Place in fridge for 2 hours, remove from pan, peel off plastic and cut into 1 1/2 " squares. A family Christmas tradition. Who can say no to fudge?
