2 eggs
1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp shortening
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs. Beat egg whites in smaller bowl until it forms peaks. In larger bowl mix all dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Mix together milk and egg yolks. Add to dry ingredients. Fold in egg whites. Pour batter on hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
