1 c. flour,
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder,
1 tsp. nutmeg,
1/2 tsp. salt,
2 tbl. softened butter,
1 c. sugar,
6-8 peaches peeled and sliced,
1/2 c brown sugar,
1 tsp. almond extract,
1 c. boiling water,

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 4 dry ingredients in large bowl.
Mix butter and 1/2 c. sugar and add to dry ingredients.
In a 9 inch square pan-greased, place 1/2 the peaches --sprinkle half of flour mixture and repeat.
Mix 1/2 c. brown and white sugar.
Pour boiling water and almond extract over peaches--Top with mixed sugars.
Bake 350º for 1 hour. Serve warm.
