6 links Italian sausage, mild or hot
1 c orzo
1 can (28 oz)San Marzano tomatoes-whole, peeled
1 large onion chopped (1 c)
3 1/2 c chicken broth
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
pepper to taste
grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Squeeze sausage out of casing--saute until all pink is gone.
Drain grease.
Saute onion.
Add tomatoes (crushed with a potato masher) and other ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Add orzo, stir and lower temperature to simmer.
Continue to simmer until all flavors are blended. More liquid can be added to maintain a soup texture.
Top with grated parmesan cheese
