6 lbs. crab apples, leave apples whole with stems on, cut out blossom end.
3 lb. sugar 1 pt. apple vinegar,
Whole cloves to suit taste,

Directions:
Boil syrup first. Then add the apples, cook slowly till done. Put in jars and seal.
