4 c. fresh green beans 1 T. butter 1 T. honey 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds salt & pepper, to taste
Slice the ends of the green beans at an angle. Boil or steam them until tender in salted water. Drain and put in serving dish. Melt the butter over low heat; add honey, nutmeg, salt & pepper. Stir and pour over green beans. top with toasted slivered almonds.
