Directions:
Measure sifted flour, sugar and salt into bowl. Cut in butter as for pastry. Dissolve the 2 tsp sugar in warm water and sprinkle with yeast. Let stand until bubbly (10 minutes). Scald milk and cool to lukewarm. Blend in beaten egg yolks. Stir mixture of yeast and add milk. Add to sifted dry ingredients all at once, stir until blended. Cover bowl tightly. Chill at least 2 hours but not more than 24 hrs. Roll out to 1/3 " thick. Cut into strips and wind into circles. Cover and let rise until dent remains when touched. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Spread with frosting of 1 cup icing sugar and 4 tsp milk. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. If these are made ahead of time, do not spread icing and nuts until time to serve.
