2 eggs 1 c. brown sugar 1c magarine or butter 6 Tbsp.syrup 2 tsp.baking soda 1 tsp.vanilla 3 - 4 c. flour
Cream butter, sugar and eggs until creamy. Mix in flour to a soft dough that can be rolled. Roll out thin and cut with a cookie cutter. Bake at 350 until light brown. Put together with jam or a date filling.
Date filling: Cook 1 cup dates with 1/4-1/2 c water and 1/2 cup brown sugar until soft and thickened.
