"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste
2 - 6 oz. cans frozen grape juice 5 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. yeast 1 gallon jug 1 strong balloon
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Mix juice with sugar. Put all in a gallon jug to within one inch of top with warm water. Place strong balloon on top of jar. Let stand for 6 weeks. As the wine begins to ferment, the balloon blows up. When the balloon goes down, the wine is done.
