1 1/4 c. unsweetened tart applesauce,
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin,
2 c. white sugar,
1 c. finely chopped walnuts,
1 tsp. vanilla,
powdered sugar,

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 1/2 c. cool applesauce and 2 envelopes gelatin until desolved. Let stand 10 min.
Mix 3/4 c. applesauce and 2 c. sugar, bring to a boil and then add gelatin mixture and boil 15 min, stirring constantly. Add 1 c. finely chopped walnuts and 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour into greased loaf pan and let stand overnight. cut into squares and roll in powdered sugar.

you could cook any fruit down to a sauce and follow this recipe. As in cotlets using apricots.
