1 1/2 single brisket piece-boiled till tender

12 large carrots cut into large pieces
5 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into large pieces
juice of 1 lemon
juice of 1 orange
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Boil brisket, take off fat and cut into pieces.

Clean out pot and add sweet potatoes, carrots, brisket pieces and brown sugar. Add cold water so that it does not quite cover the vegetables.

Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours on top of stove. Add juices and cook another 1/2 hour.

Place mixture in shallow pan (baking dish) and put in 325º oven for 1 hour. Dribble maple syrup over all and bake another 1/2 hour or until evenly browned.
