Sliced bread Vegemite Finely grated cheese Butter Salt & Pepper
Cut the crusts of the bread and butter the slices. Spread the vegemite on and then add the finely grated cheese. Sprinkle with saltand pepper. Cut into strips. Cook in a moderate oven for around 5 - 10 minutes. When cooked let cool on a wire rack. These will keep for at least two weeks in an airtight container.
These are a tasty treat for the school lunchboxes. They never get a chance to last longer than a few days as they are devoured by the children in record time.
