2 pkg yeast
1 1/2 c lukewarm buttermilk
1/2 c melted shortening
3 tbsp sugar
4 1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
l tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water; add buttermilk,shortening and sugar. Sift flour, soda and salt into liquid mixture. Beat until smooth. Let stand for 10 minutes. Roll out; shape as desired. Place in baking pan and let rise for about
30 minutes in a warm place. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
